From the airport
From Suvarnabhumi Terminal:
Tourists can take a public taxi from the ground floor of this terminal to wherever they wish to go in Bangkok. The ride is expensive since it includes the airport charge [50 Bahts], the tolls, the meter charge and the tip.
Alternatively visitors can take the airport bus or airport express into the city centre which will be expensive and time consuming but convenient since the bus runs every 30 minutes for a journey that lasts about 45- 60 minutes. On the plus side buses operate most of the day. Buses depart from the 1st floor gate 8. Bus AE1 takes travelers from the airport to Silom. AE2 goes to Bang Lampoo, AE3 goes to Sukhumvit and AE4 goes to Victory Monument.

Visitors can also take the local bus- the bus service is at a separate terminal on the 2nd floor gates no. 3 and 8. This separate terminal is arrived at by a shuttle [this costs nothing] since the terminal is located several kilometers away.
Visitors can now opt for the airport express train to the City Air Terminal at Makkasan which connects to the MRT Phetchaburi.
