Friday Market

The Friday Market (Suq Al-Jum’a), is located in an area close to Al Rai, called Khaldiyah and can be easily located by taxi. Bargaining is highly encouraged, and tourists are also advised to check the goods before taking them home. Open from Thursday afternoons until Saturday evenings, visitors are able to find almost anything at the Friday Market, from carpets, clothes, jewellery and shoes, to food items, pottery and plants, animals and furniture. Visitors would need to reach there early and be prepared to walk the whole length of the market to explore all the goods and get a proper feel of the atmosphere.
