Whiteleys Bayswater is a shopping centre with an intriguing past. In 1845 William Whitley began the process of setting up with only 10 pounds in his pocket. By 1890 he had employed more than 6,000 staff. He went public in 1899 and shortly thereafter was murdered by someone who believed he was Whiteley’s son.
His two (real) sons vowed to carry on their father’s legacy and after many refurbishments since, Whiteleys Bayswater is today a bustling shopping centre. The mall is home to men, women and children’s fashion outlets including H&M, Marks and Spencer, Stuff &Co, Kurt Geiger and many more. There are also gifts, books and beauty stores and even an 8 screen multiplex cinema located at the shopping centre.
There are also 16 different restaurant and cafes in the mall, including Odeon, Pizza Express, Yo Sushi and more.
