قال بونيت شاتوال أن مجموعة فنادق ريزدور قد وضعت خططا لفتح 100 فندقا في المنطقة قبل حلول عام 2015 ولكن الأزمة الإقتصادية دفعتهم إلى إلغاء بعض المشاريع ، مثل عقار بارك إن و فندق ريجنت في دبي. وقال "على الرغم من حدوث الركود الإقتصادي في العام الماضي إلا أن مجموعة فنادق ريزيدور نجحت فافتتاح فنادق في الشرق الأوسط . في عام 2009 وحده ، إفتتحنا ثمانية فنادق ، و 17 إلى 25 عقارا أو ما يقرب من 2200 غرفة.
