Chocolate trains are old news, and there should be cake at every birthday party.

To celebrate Heathrow Express’s 15th anniversary, Miss Cakehead, together with Mischief PR and a team of specialist bakers and food artists from Eat Your Heart Out, made a train entirely of cake.

Arrived at London’s Paddington Station, the edible train carriage measures 1.5 x 4 x 2 meters.

It took the entire team over 30 hours to build and install it on the platform, and was created with 80 large sheets of Madeira sponge, 60kg of buttercream icing, 3kg of royal icing, 200kg of fondant icing, 5 liters of liquid chocolate and airbrush paint.

Amusingly, the cake train also has guards to protect it from cake-loving pigeons.
