Abu Dhabi Airport Passenger Traffic Up 7.5%

Acting Chief Executive of ADAC, John Stent said “Abu Dhabi International Airport has maintained consistent traffic growth throughout the global downturn”. He attributed the sustained growth to the robust network, frequency expansion of Etihad Airways, and increase in the number of airline operators starting operations to and from Abu Dhabi. Mr. Stent said the airport has already welcomed seven new carriers in 2009, and Malaysia Air Asia X will be the eighth new carrier when it begins operations later this month.
