Industry representatives said more flight routes are needed and can be provided by commercial airline governing bodies and military cooperating across airspace. Vice President of Flight Operation Support, Emirates said almost fifty percent of UAE airspace is reserved for use by the military and this creates difficulties for civilian air travel.
