Abu Dhabi UPC Announces Beach Projects

The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) announced details of new world class facilities and recreational amenities being developed on Abu Dhabi’s corniche. New amenities and facilities include a new beach boardwalk, better lighting and shading, improved biking facilities, and facilities for skateboarding, rollerblading, football, and beach volleyball. Access to the beach will be improved and there will be 26 retail, food, and beverage outlets, and various cultural and environmental activities. UPC General Manager said “The authorities in Abu Dhabi recognize the importance of the corniche area as a focal point of leisure activities for residents as well as tourists visiting the UAE’s capital.”
