Air India Strike Impacts Saudi Arabia Passengers

The Air India pilot’s strike is entering its third day and impacting passengers from Saudi Arabia. There have been numerous cancellations of incoming and outgoing flights. Air India operates 46 flights from the Kingdom – 14 from Jeddah and 16 each from Damman and Riyadh. An airline official said a flight from Mumbai scheduled to arrive in Jeddah was cancelled and so the outgoing flight from Jeddah to Delhi was also cancelled. The official said they are combining Monday night’s Jeddah-Hyderabad-Mumbai flight with the Delhi load. Regarding passengers to and from the Kingdom every Tuesday onward the official said “We are making arrangements to enable them to fly on other international airlines.” Thousands of passengers from India and overseas have been inconvenienced by the pilots strike.
