Local Air India offices have stopped making new bookings because the airlines closed flights until October 15 due to the pilots strike. Confusion reigned among travellers who had used Air India to fly to different destinations over the summer break and must return within a few weeks. The travel agent said there are some passengers whose re-entry visa is about to expire. Another travel agent explained there is concern about the special Haj flights because Air India must transport most of the pilgrims. Three aiports in Kerala were badly hit as dozens of flights, including domestic services were cancelled.
