Air ticket sales have increased due to falling fares this summer. A recent report showed that the UAE is the biggest spender on online shopping with airline tickets being the most popular item. However, assistant with Sharif Travel said air ticket sales plummeted between 25% and 30%. Hussain Iqbal attributed the current slowdown to the swine flu and global economic turmoil.
