Amsterdam’s Keukenhof Gardens now open

The Keukenhof Gardens is the world’s second largest flower garden, following Dubai Miracle Garden. Willem van Gogh, a relative of the famous painter Vincent van Gogh, officially opened the exhibition, in accordance to the Van Gogh theme showcasing this year. 2015 is exactly 125 years since the passing of Vincent Van Gogh, and in honor of this the Keukenhof has a wonderful display of a flower bulb mosaic of the artist’s self-portrait, covering an area of 250m2 and consisting of thousands of different colored tulips.

The Keukenhof is located in South Holland, in a town called Lissee. The park makes significant contribution to tourism in the Netherlands, attracting nearly 50 million people since it first opened in 1949.
The Keukenhof is now open to the public, up to and including Sunday 17 May 2015, from 8:00am to 7:30pm. Tickets cost €16 for adults, €8 for children aged 4 - 11, and 0 - 3 year olds are free. The park also offers free Wi-Fi and free lockers to store any luggage.
