Arab Wings Will Launch Gulf Wings In Sharjah

The Jordanian charter flight operator Arab Wings announced yesterday they will launch a sister company, Gulf Wings, in Sharjah. Arab Wings general manager, Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh, said they have recently received an Air Operators certificate to form Gulf Wings which will be an executive flights business also providing aircraft management for luxury jet owners. Mr. Ghazaleh said the company’s expansion reflects their commitment to be the best in the private aviation field. He said the new base in Sharjah will give them flexibility to operate from different stations while offering the same quality and variety of services. Arab Wings operates ten private jets for business travel and medical evacuations. Business jet owners seem little affected by the economic slowdown and some are targeting growth in 2009.
