British newspapers fussing over Halal meat

A "scandal" seems to have broken out in the British media with the revelation that Pizza Express restaurants in England use Halal chicken for their chicken pizzas. The pizza chain never kept this fact a secret and had posted information about using Halal chicken on its website. British newspapers fussing over Halal meat

A number of Subway restaurants in England and about 20% of all Nandos restaurants in England (mainly those in the suburbs) also serve Halal chicken - which may make it convenient for Irhal readers to have Halal food on their next trip to London. We will soon be updating our Halal restaurants section with details of restaurants in locations close to tourist attractions that serve halal meat.

Even British Prime Minister David Cameron was drawn into the media fray when he was seen dining at Nandos on Thursday (May 8 2014) but he avoided the debate, although a month earlier he spoke at an awards ceremony organized by the UK monthly, The Mulsim News, where he categorically stated, “Let me make it absolutely clear, that while I am Prime Minister of this country, halal is safe in Britain."
