China’s Broad Sustainable Building Corp. is to build a 2,749 ft. skyscraper (32 ft. taller than the Burj Khalifa!) in 90 days in the city of Changsha, in China’s southeastern Hunan province. Sky City will have 220 floors and will contain a school, hospital, 17 helipads and apartments for 30,000 people.
Broad has already built a 15-story tower in 2 days and a 30-story tower in 15, so they predict the 220-story skyscraper will be finished on time in 90 days. Broad Corp. plans to start laying the foundations of Sky City at the end of November, with the three-month race starting at the end of the year and running through March.
Sky City will be 32 ft. taller than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and will be built 24 times faster. The building will also be able to withstand a 9.0 magnitude tremor.
Are you ready Burj Khalifa? Your time with the crown is now limited.
