The most important celebration in the Chinese calendar will be marked with theatre shows, street parades, live music, food stalls and special cuisine.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah and the adjoining amphitheatre will host traditional parades, live musicians and a lion dance, daily from 28 January to 1 February. The celebrations continue at the Madinat Theatre with performances by the acclaimed East State Chinese Circus. An ensemble of 20 talented performers will bring 2000 years of history to life on stage in a captivating 70-minute show, running twice daily, at 4:30pm and 7pm.
Located in Mina A’Salam Hotel, Zheng He’s, Madinat Jumeirah’s award-winning modern Chinese restaurant, will offer special menus for lunch and dinner, starting from AED 188 per person. From 26 January until 1 February guests can enjoy themed dishes, including time-honoured Chinese New Year delicacies and Asian treats.
For a casual al fresco setting, the amphitheatre in Souk Madinat Jumeirah will showcase authentic street flavours and live cooking stations from 28 January to 1 February, 2014. This offers an unforgettable place for guests to enjoy Dubai’s idyllic weather and lagoon views of Madinat Jumeirah.
