While Dubai kicked off the year 2014 with a record breaking fireworks display, it is determined to keep making waves. It wants to make visitors and residents enjoy every day that they spend in the city. Dubai Calendar, the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing's one-stop destination for all that is happening in Dubai, has lined up an extensive program of events in January and February. The Standard Chartered…

The Standard Chartered Marathon on January 24 is aimed at getting you outdoors and enjoy a brisk run or at least cheer others. If you prefer to stroll casually in the greens, you may be able to spot Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament which takes place from January 27 to February 2 2014. Sporting fever continues in February with Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Petra Kvitova and Agnieszka Radwanska, competing at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2014.
If you like the sound of Black Magic Woman, you will be serenaded this February at the Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival by none other than the legendary Carlos Santana. The 8 day event will also feature American Jazz icons Al Foster, Larry Carton, and Steve Grossman, and UK singer-songwriter Olly Murs.
And of course, while music may be the food of love, there is no getting away from good food in Dubai. Dubai Food Festival is set to tempt the palates of the region’s gastronomes over 23 days in February and March as it brings together some of the Emirate’s highest profile food events for business and consumers including Gulfood and Taste of Dubai, as well as the inaugural editions of the Dubai Food Carnival and The Big Grill.
Dubai is a non-stop fun destination and Dubai Calendar wants to keep you busy.
