Egyptair reinstates London Heathrow to Luxor Direct Flight

The move comes as the country tries so shepherd tourists away from the capital Cairo as it seeks to rebuild its shattered tourism industry.

The reinstatement falls on the back of a significant increase in demand by tourists and Egyptian nationals wanting alternative destination airports, with Luxor highlighted as a key entry point for Egypt.

“At just under five and a half hours from the UK, reinstating the direct flight to Luxor makes perfect sense given the demand from the UK for cultural, historical and adventure-based holidays and experiences.

“We want to ensure we offer ease of access for tourists to explore Egypt.

“The direct Luxor service demonstrates that British holidaymakers have a resilient passion and desire for all that Egypt has to offer,” commented Omayma El Husseini, Egyptian Tourist Office director, UK & Ireland.
