Travel companies expect the Eid Al Fitr break to increase travel business 5 per cent compared to last year. Waseem Rahmeny said they expect outbound business to pick up between 2 per cent and 5 per cent compared to last year although conservative forecasts say business will stay the same. This year Eid Al Fitr will follow a weekend and so people are considering short haul destinations. Emirates Holidays and Air Arabia Holidays have special offers for destinations between four and five hours away including Egypt, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Kenya.
