Etihad Airways Will Launch Service To Nagoya, Tokyo

Etihad Airways said Tuesday it will begin flight service to two Japanese cities in the first quarter of 2010 – Nagoya and Tokyo. These are the airlines first destinations in Japan. Etihad Airways will fly four times a week to Nagoya via Beijing beginning on February 1, and will increase to five times a week from March 27, subject to regulatory approval. The addition of the two Japanese destinations brings to eight the number of Far East destinations served by Etihad Airways. The carrier also flies to Beijing, Jakarta, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur. Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer James Hogan said “Commercial and cultural ties between the UAE and Japan continue to grow and Etihad is proud to play a part in boosting these ties.”
