European Commission Withdraws Claims Against Emirates Airlines

The European Commission (EC) withdrew accusations it made against Emirates Airline last month, saying the airline is in full compliance with EC consumer legislation. Emirates was among twelve airlines including Northwest, Aeroflot, and Olympic which the agency claimed had consistently misled regarding fares on their websites. Emirates subsequently contested the charges and asked for an apology. The senior vice president of commercial operations worldwide at Emirates said they were displeased with the conduct of the original investigation, but “we are pleased this is now resolved.”
