To test their soon to be released Airbus 350 aircraft, Airbus Industries sent their A350 XWB flight test aircraft (MSN3) for hot weather testing in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, where daytime temperatures in summer can reach close to 50C. The aircraft performed several tests in flight as well as on the ground, including heat soak tests. These involve the airplane being left on the ground and in the sun for several hours and checks later performed on various cooling systems.
The new A350 is expected to be launched in Q4 2014 when Qatar Airways takes delivery of the first aircraft.
