Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, based in Canada, will operate the new Dh800 million luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi when it opens on 1 October 2009. The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr is located near the Abu Dhabi National Airport and has 369 guest rooms, more than 2,500 square meters of functional space, variety of world class restaurants, two outdoor swimming pools, a private beach, fitness center, and spa. Room rates start at Dh1,099 and up to Dh5,249 per night. Customers must pay a 10 per cent service charge and 6 per cent tourism fee.
