Fewer Dubai Travel Agents Will Attend WTM In Dubai

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) said far fewer travel agents in Dubai will participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London next week despite lower costs and the fact that London is Dubai’s biggest single source of visitors. Hoteliers said space at the Dubai display this year cost between US$10,000(Dh 36,730) and USD$50,000, depending on size and location. Saleh al Geziry explained “A lot of companies are joining their corporate stands rather than having a stand with us. It’s a strategic decision.” Mr. Geziry is the director of overseas promotions and inward missions for the DTCM.
