Find the best spots to board on NYC Subway

These unlawful signs, which have not been sanctioned by the MTA, has been installed by the “Efficient Passenger Project”. According to a founder of the campaign, this is a “public, civic service” that aims to help commuters navigate the underground labyrinths of the subway and “make a more enjoyable, faster commute”.

Reading “Board Here”, the signs indicate the best spots to board the subway for easy transferring down the line—for instance, one of the signs marks the location for best transfer to Line 4, 5 and 6 at Union Square.

While some commuters have applauded the campaign’s mission to make riding the subway more efficient, others—including MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz—have expressed concern about how these signs can cause over-crowding at some platform areas and create uneven loading in the train cars.

MTA has stated that it plans to remove these signs—are you for or against these guerrilla subway signs?
