French air traffic controllers set to strike

Beginning tomorrow, all airlines in France have been asked to cancel half of their planned schedules, while all flights through French airspace are likely to be disrupted.

The action will start at 06:00 French local time tomorrow and continue until 05:59 on Friday, June 14th.

Air traffic controllers are protesting against changes to the Single Sky regulations initiated by the European Commission.

Job losses are feared as air traffic over Europe becomes simpler.

Paris, Lyon, Nice, Marseille, Toulouse and Bordeaux are expected to be hard hit, with Air France asking passengers to cancel trips where possible.
