Global Hotel Prices Drop 17% In H1

The latest Hotels.com Hotel Price Index shows that the average price of hotel rooms around the world declined 17 per cent during the first six months of 2009 due to price falls on every continent. Dubai became a more desirable place to travel for those spending US dollars, with the cities hotel prices falling 26 per cent during H1 2009 compared to the same period last year. Abu Dhabi hotel room rates for those paying in US dollars fell 9 per cent year on year.
