Indonesia to attract more tourists from the Middle East

The Indonesian Vice Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mr. Sapta Nirwandar, is in Dubai taking part in the Arabian Travel Market with a large group of exhibitors. The country that is made up of more than 18,000 islands is a destination that was visited by more than 150,000 tourists from the Middle East last year. Indonesia to attract more tourists from the Middle East

Indonesia offers lush green forests. Plenty of rain for those running away from the harsh, dry summers of the Middle East, and palm tree lined beaches for those interested in water sports. It also has high end shopping malls for those interested in luxury shopping.

Garuda, the national airlines of Indonesia, is expanding its service to the region while Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways and Saudi Airlines are also increasing their daily flights to both the capital Jakarta and the island resort of Bali making it easier for tourists to visit Indonesia. The Ministry of Tourism is also spearheading a major marketing campaign to encourage more tourists from the region to visit Indonesia.

Being the world's largest Muslim country, Halal food is easily available all over Indonesia and the country is safe for family travel.
