Jazeera Airways will cancel direct flight services to four destinations and discontinue operations for two other destinations. This has caused thousands of vacationers to change their travel plans. Officials said UAE regulatory changes recently imposed are the reason they changed their services. The new regulations restrict the directional fifth freedom of flying which allows air traffic between a second and third country. Thousands of expatriate residents who had previously booked tickets with Jazeera Airways through September will now have to change their travel plans.
