The investigation was initiated following the disclosure that two additional Westin Hotel guests were infected with the bacterium, which can proliferate in air conditioning units

Westin’s parent company said in a statement that three recent visitors to the UAE who were guests at the hotel were diagnosed with Legionnaires disease. He added “no evidence of legionella has been found to date at the hotel based on initial testing by an independent accredited laboratory “.
