Chief executive officer of the company, Sultanate of Oman, Osama Miriam, spoke about the project at a signing ceremony with Marriot International. He said the five star, 234 room Marriot Resort in Mirbat “is an important milestone for the Mirbat beach project.” He signed the agreement with Nihad Kattan, area vice president for Middle East and North Africa for Marriot International Inc. The soft opening of Mirbat on December is part of the first phase of the Mirbat beach project.
