The disruption was as a result of a technical problem that caused all flights to Abu Dhabi International Airport either being cancelled or diverted to other places in the region.
Etihad Airways issued the following statement this morning:
Etihad Airways flights are operating as normal this morning. However, as a result of unexpected fog, a small number of flights may experience minor delays. Passengers are advised to check the Etihad Airways website at or call the Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 (0) 2599 0000 for more information on the status of their flights.
Baggage and passengers have also been reunited, and normal operations for all other flights coming in to or leaving Abu Dhabi International Airport are operating as per their usual schedule.
