44.5% of travelers who took part in a recent poll said price is the most important consideration when booking a flight. Al Ghaith believes as more people choose savings over luxury when flying, the low cost market will increase 10%. He believes the low cost model will grow from 5% to 15% by 2011. 20.1% of travelers believe low cost carriers (LCC) will have better results over the next few years but 30.8% only book flights with LCC’s on short trips because they can’t compete with major carriers. Only 4.7% said they can fly only with first class luxuries.
