Premier Inn, the biggest hotel brand in the UAE, announced they are reducing room rates at its two properties in Dubai by 40 percent due to the global downturn. The company explained in a statement that business travelers are trading down from four star rivals and “the reduction has been made in order to preserve the Premier Inn brand promise of delivering the best value for money available in hotel accommodation.” Premier Inn, which has 580 hotels, said it is still firmly committed to the Gulf region and is opening a new 281 room hotel near Dubai International Airport later this month.
