In contrast, in Makkah, fasting hours are of almost 15 hours (14 hrs and 51 minutes for the first day of Ramadan). The other extreme is Reyjkyavik, Iceland, which has a population of 1,200 Muslims. The time for sunrise is 3:02 am while sunset is 11:58pm. Which makes for fasting times of over 22 hours. In Tromso, Norway, which is one of the northernmost places in the world with a masjid, there is 24 hours of sunlight during Ramadan 2014 so the people there follow Makkah timings. Actually, on 30th April 2014 the time between the start of Fajr and Maghreb was 20 hours and from May 1 the Alnor Masjid in Tromso switched to Makkah timings.
Wherever you plan to spend Ramadan this year, may Allah make it a blessed month for you.
