Rotana Expects 100% Occupancy For Dubai Shopping Festival

Naeem Darkazally, area director of Sales and Marketing for Rotana Dubai and Northern Emirates, said he expects all eleven of its hotels in Dubai, representing 3,300 rooms, to be full during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) which begins at the end of January. Naeem said Rotana will open two more hotels in the first quarter of 2010, adding 547 more rooms to its inventory in Dubai. Rotana plans to open ten hotels per year for the next four years. By 2012, the company plans to open 17 properties in Saudi Arabia, eight in Abu Dhabi, five in Egypt, three in Dubai, two in Sharjah, two in Amman, two in Doha, one in Bahrain, one in Baghdad, one in Fujairah, one in Ras Al Khaimah, one in Salalah, and one in Sohar.
