Saadiyat Island Attractions Will Open By Year End

Abu Dhabi’s government owned Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) announced the first tourist attractions will open on the Dh100 billion Saadiyat Island. Kier Riemersma said the first stage of the Gary Player Gulf Course is nearly complete and a power distribution center can now supply power. Two major road bridges will provide access to the 27 km square Saadiyat Island. The 10 land Saadiyat Bridge and Expressway will officially open to the public this month. Groundbreaking for the Louvre Abu Dhabi museum recently took place, construction work on the St. Regis Hotel and Residences began in the second quarter of the year, and construction work has begun on the 316 room five star Park Hyatt Resort.
