TDIC officials commented on workers rights at a press conference held to update journalists on progress made building the Saadayit Construction Village, which will house the workers. Director-PR & Events for TDIC said they (TDIC), as master developer for the project, have made adequate provisions to protect workers rights in all of the contracts it is planning for construction on the island. The first group of Saadiyat Construction Villages will be ready by next June and can accommodated 5,000 people.
