In view of the threat, major delays are expected on all flights out of Heathrow Airport - particulalry for flights departing to the United States. Passengers are requested to arrive early to avoid missing their flight.
The Heathrow Airport website has issued the following alert: "At the request of US authorities (TSA) additional security measures are being carried out by airlines flying to the USA. If you are flying to a US destination, please allow extra time for your journey."
