It can be quite frustrating to navigate a busy sidewalk in NYC, especially when pedestrians are looking at their phones instead of what’s in front of them. To address this “texting and walking” epidemic, prank collective Improv Everywhere, together with Buzzfeed, provided text-obsessed pedestrians with ‘seeing eye people’. Connected via leashes, these seeing eye people would help texting pedestrians…

‘Seeing Eye People’ For Text-Obsessed NYC Pedestrians

To address this “texting and walking” epidemic, prank collective Improv Everywhere, together with Buzzfeed, provided text-obsessed pedestrians with ‘seeing eye people’.

Connected via leashes, these seeing eye people would help texting pedestrians navigate the streets while their eyes remain glued to their phones.

For the first part of the project, the seeing eye people were paired with other members of the collective, who were posing as pedestrians.

In the second part, they offered their services to ordinary New Yorkers who were too busy looking at their phones.
