Major refurbishments at Terminal 2 recently completed have improved operations and increased capacity for both passengers and cargo by 50%. Queuing time has fallen because the number of counters in the check in area has been increased from 22 to 36. A huge car park with a very short curb to seat distance provides easy access to about 1,040 vehicles. During the next phase of Terminal 2 refurbishment a new transport infrastructure on Al Itatihad and Al Twar roads will be built, providing better access and approach route to Dubai International Airport.
