Director of Sales and Marketing for Shangri La Hotel, Levent Tekun, said “We found the level of enquiries is of a much higher quality than last year. The interest has been mainly from the UK and it seems its outbound business is picking up after falling off earlier in the year.” Mr. Dekun said coverage of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has definitely raised awareness and kudos to this region. He said they will leverage this with targeted promotions to attract more leisure and group business out of the market.
