Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic decided to give New Yorkers a surprise—by taking over an ordinary park bench and giving its occupants a taste of what it’s like to fly with the airline. In ‘No Ordinary Park Bench’, a regular park bench—located in a pedestrian park near the Flatiron Building, on Broadway and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan—was transformed into a special red bench called “Upper Class Bench”.…

In ‘No Ordinary Park Bench’, a regular park bench—located in a pedestrian park near the Flatiron Building, on Broadway and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan—was transformed into a special red bench called “Upper Class Bench”.
When people sat on the bench, they were greeted by air stewardesses, served lunch, and let to watch performances (that represent in-flight movies) or play games that were performed by people.
In Sir Richard Branson’s words: “Is this the world’s best bench?” You decide.
