Aldar Properties is the developer of the multibillion dollar project on the island, expected to transform it into a major international tourism destination. Aldar Properties director of planning and infrastructure said “We are now at the testing and commissioning phase of the various infrastructure” including roads, bridges, footpaths and electricity supply. Scores of hotels, theme parks, and a super regional mall are housed on Yas Island, which is only 10 minutes away from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The 32km island offers convenient transport links.
