Very soon at an airport baggage carousel near you a bag will be announcing its arrival. You will no longer have to wait by the carousel impatiently looking at every piece of luggage that gets spewed out. You will no longer have to worry if that black bag is really yours. You can purchase a TravelTag which is a small plastic box the size of a matchbox for $30, download the TravelTag app on your phone and stop worrying about your bag. As soon as it reaches the carousel you can hear an audible signal from your phone announcing the arrival of your bag. So, now you can go to the restroom or take care of your child or even do some last minute duty-free shopping with the knowledge that as soon as your bag arrives it will let you know. You do not have to wait for it.

TravelTag is the brainchild of Nirmal Parikh a Boston based marketing guru who recently presented his device before an audience of technology buffs at an innovation event organized at the new Boston area head office of TripAdvisor. If you want to be one of the first people to use this device you can send us an email.
