70pc hotel suppliers yet to receive payments: survey

Over 70 percent of hotel suppliers have yet to receive the money owed to them by hotel companies for their services, it was learnt via the findings of a recently conducted survey. 22.9 per cent of the respondents said that the money owed to their companies is the biggest hurdle for their business at the moment. In fact, 8.8 per cent of the respondents said that the money owed to them was over $1 million while 35.2 per cent said they were owed over $100,000.
All in all, 80 per cent of the respondents said that “it is taking longer than ever to receive payment from hotels for suppliers’ services” but were hopeful that they would be paid soon.
