The ‘+ Pool’ will act like a “giant strainer dropped into the river”, filtering out bacteria and contaminants, leaving clean and natural river water that meets city and state standards for swimming.

Measuring over 9,000-square feet in size, the plus-shaped pool will be able to clean up to half a million gallons of water a day, making a positive contribution to the river.

The team behind the project aims to open the pool by the summer of 2016, and is currently hoping to fund the building of a 35 x 35-feet ‘Float Lab’ this August for testing purposes.
