Afghanistan’s Safi Airways Will Expand

Published by Irhal

Safi Airways, the biggest privately owned airline in Afghanistan, will pursue expansion plans despite a turbulent political environment and unstable security situation in the country. Safi Airways is the only Afghanistan based airline certified the International Civil Aviation Organization, which means it meets required standards to land at international airports. New president and CEO for the airline said…

Tilman Gabriel said Saif will start flights from Kabul to Moscow, Delhi, Beijing, Doha, Delhi, and Islamabad. Safi Airways now flies from Kabul to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Sharjah, and Frankfurt Germany, a service launched earlier this year. The Frankfurt service boosted Safi’s image because it is the only direct flight from Afghanistan into the EU. The seven hour flight operates three times a week with 100% reliability, which means a flight has never been cancelled, and 97 per cent punctuality, according to Gabriel.
