Al Masria Airlines eyes 450,000 travellers

June 02, 2010 - Al Masria Universal Airlines, Egypt’s first private airline flying to Saudi Arabia, hopes to accommodate 450,000 travellers between the two countries in its first year of operation, the airline’s agent in the kingdom said. Prince Faisal bin Abdullah Al Faisal, Chairman of al Faisaliah Aviation Co, said that AlMasria is targeting up to 15 per cent of the estimated three million air travellers that ply between the two countries. To date, Egypt Air, the country’s national carrier is the only airline that goes to KSA.
Meanwhile, the Saudi civil aviation authority has said that it will allow two other private Egyptian airlines to fly into KSA.
