If the hotels do not demonstrate compliance, their classification could be lowered to three stars, two stars, or even a single star. The hotels have been given until the end of March 2010 to show compliance with the star classification requirements. Most hotels in Qatar have complied, including Four Seasons, Doha Sheraton, Al Sharq Village and Spa, Marriot, and Ritz-Carlton.
